1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences, keep you signed in, and measure how the platform is used. Similar technologies such as browser local storage are treated the same way in this Policy.
2. Categories of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary — required for authentication, session security, tenant routing, load balancing and remembering your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off and are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the service.
- Performance & analytics — Google Analytics cookies that measure page views, feature usage and scan events in aggregate. These load only after you consent.
- Marketing — used to measure campaign performance and limit repeat messaging. These load only after you consent, and are off by default.
3. Typical durations
- Session cookies — deleted when you close your browser.
- Authentication tokens — up to 12 hours for internal sessions, longer for workspace sessions until sign-out.
- Consent preference record — 12 months, after which we ask again.
- Analytics identifiers — up to 24 months.
4. Managing your preferences
You may accept all cookies, reject all optional cookies, or choose categories individually using the Cookie Preferences panel. You can reopen that panel at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer of every public page. Withdrawing consent stops the relevant scripts from loading immediately and does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and using the platform.
5. Third parties
Analytics cookies are set by Google. Payment pages hosted by Paystack may set their own cookies necessary to complete a transaction securely. Those providers act as independent responsible parties for the data they collect on their own pages.
